Economic Development

Davie County is a growing community of approximately 40,000 people. The area is served by I-40, which bisects the county, as well as nearby I-85 and I-77. One-half of the nation's population and one trillion dollars in industrial production, representing 60% of the U.S. market, is located within 800 miles of Davie County.

While our area portrays a scenic, rural setting and hosts a top-rated school system and local community college, our infrastructure and qualified workforce are ready to support your industry. The Piedmont Triad International Airport, with many daily flights, is located 45 minutes away, and Charlotte-Douglas Airport is within 55 minutes with hundreds of daily flights and numerous international connections.

On behalf of the community, our Economic Development Council (EDC) welcomes the opportunity to show you first-hand the many reasons why business and industry look to our community for future development and growth. Please contact Terry Bralley, our EDC Chairman, at
