For the artist in you, the Brock Performing Arts Center offers live performances and programs for the entire family. Or pull out your poodle skirts and tune up your '57 Chevy for a monthly "Cruise In" as hundreds of car enthusiasts gather on the Historic Downtown Square in Mocksville from April to October. Spectators throughout the state are welcome at Farmington Dragway each weekend, and many visitors enjoy the biplane buzz of antique airplanes at Twin Lakes Aviation.
Enjoy the North Carolina Dressage and Combined Training Association's Horse Trials (NCDCTA) at the Thoroughbred Training Center in November. Combined Training has been a recognized form of equestrian competition since 1912, when it was first included in the Olympic Games. The purpose of the competition at any level is to develop the ability of both horse and rider in the three phases of Dressage, Cross Country and Stadium Jumping.
